Nothing like it

The feeling you get, when one pulls out of the ground something you have grown all by your loansome, well the wellies are lost for words! Satisfaction just does not cut it somehow. The accompaning picture shows my thinnings from today, which will be our dinner later accompanied by the cabbage picked earlier, with a very nice chicken steamed with fresh (homegrown) thyme, rosemary, garlic, cherry toms (not homegrown) and a little vegetable stock (homemade). Hope your are drooling!!!!

Them 'Bl***dy Foxes

My greencone has been a successful addition to my plot, breaking down all that waste you cannot otherwise place in a normal compost bin. It likes anything, cooked, meat scraps, bones etc. Which is wonderful. My bin at home no longer smells, and I now only put out half a bag of rubbish a week, which is lovely. However 'them there foxes are trying to dig it up'!!. I have recovered it on a daily basis for a week, but now I have resorted to logs. The wellies are revolting against the red tirants, and we are now trying to outwit on the strategic front. Watch this space!!
